You don’t need to be in therapy a long time to see results. Most group clients begin to see some improvement in the first few weeks. The people closest to you will often be more receptive to you just because you’re getting help.
It's scary to imagine saying your thoughts to a group of people you don't know. It's that same fear that is keeping you from saying what you need to say to those who are closest to you. You might find that it's easier than you thought if you give it a try. The hardest part is just showing up.
